Yes absolutely yes.

I poured 2 separate 4in slabs, one for an AC condenser and another for a deep well 2-stage jet well-pump.

I dug about 4 inches, put 2 inches of pebbles and 2 inches of sand. I didn’t use a machine to stamp… I just used my body weight stomping until firm.

I then placed 5 rocks under the mesh to raise the mesh about 1–1.5 inches up by putting the stucco mesh or as you call it chicken wire on top. I then poured the concrete all the way up.

Both slabs have ZERO cracking, and the well pump is secured directly into the slab - is pretty violent in vibrations during operation, and this has been going on for about 5 years now.

The slab with the AC compressor also gets constant vibrations but not nearly as violent as the well pump. Both slabs are solid and in perfect condition.
